About Akasse.io
Akasse.io is an independent guide to Denmark's unemployment insurance system, written for the people the Danish-language sites forget: internationals.

What we do
We collect the published monthly price of 21 of Denmark's 21 state-recognised a-kasser, verify it against the funds' own websites, and explain the rules that decide whether you actually get paid. No fund can buy a better position in our table.
Where the numbers come from
Benefit rates, hour requirements and income thresholds come from Danish legislation and the Danish Agency for Labour Market and Recruitment. Membership fees come from each fund's own price page and are re-checked regularly. When a number is an estimate, we say so.
How we make money
We have no commission or partner agreements with any a-kasse, and no fund pays for placement. Nothing in the comparison table is paid for, and the order is decided by price alone.
This is information, not legal advice
Rules change and individual cases differ. For a binding answer about your own situation, always ask your a-kasse — they are legally obliged to advise their members.
How we make articles
- Benjamin Jochum chooses topics based on what people search for.
- The first draft is written by AI (Claude by Anthropic). The AI may only use figures from our list of verified rates (checked against official sources) and must refer to official sources.
- Automated checks catch known errors, dead links and missing sources.
- Every article is read and fact-checked manually – including the title, description and FAQ – before it is published. The review date is shown on the article.
- Articles published before 5 October 2026 were published without manual review and are labelled until they have been reviewed.
